The Church of Christ at Wisconsin Rapids
We believe in God's word
- The Scriptures are God's word (2 Timothy 3:16+17)
- God's word is powerful (Hebrews 4:12)
- We won't try to replace it with our own traditions (Mark 7:5-13, Colossians 2:8)
- We won't try to alter it in any way (Revelation 22:18+19, Galatians 1:6-9)
Our practices do not come from the Old Law
- Jesus Christ ended the Old Law that the Israelites once kept (Romans 7:1-6, Hebrews 8:7-13)
- We can, however, still learn useful lessons from it (Romans 15:4, 1 Corinthians 10:1-11)
The New Testament is the source of our practices
- The necessity of baptism by immersion (Mark 16:15+16, 1 Peter 3:21, Acts 8:35-38)
- The necessity of remaining faithful after baptism (Hebrews 4:11, James 5:19+20)
- Out activities as an assembled church (about our assembly)
